How it plays

Each level has one goal: put the ball in the hoop. Between you and the basket there are walls and obstacles, and the ball bounces off all of them. Poki describes the game as a platformer with physics, and the bounces are where most of the thinking happens.

A shot has two parts. You hold the button or your finger down to build power, then let go at the moment that feels right. Too little power and the ball drops short; too much and it rebounds somewhere unhelpful.

Because the ball keeps its momentum, the direct line is not always the best one. Some levels invite a bank shot off a wall, and part of the fun is seeing a ball take a strange route and still drop in.

Blumgi Bounce can be played alone or with a friend on the same device. Poki suggests playing casually to relax or chasing the perfect shot as a personal challenge.

Five things to try early

  • Start with less power than you think. It is easier to add strength on the next try than to control a ball flying around the level.

  • Watch where a missed shot first touches a wall; that point tells you how to adjust.

  • Change one thing per attempt, either the power or the timing, so you can tell what worked.

  • When the hoop is hidden, aim for the surface that faces it rather than the hoop itself.

  • With a friend, take turns on the same level and compare routes before moving on.

Who it suits, and what to weigh

It suits families and friends sharing a screen, and anyone who likes short physics puzzles. The rules are clear within the first level.

Success sometimes depends on small differences in release timing, which can feel fiddly.

—

Two players share one device, so it is not an online multiplayer game.
